LA PALMA - A paradise for astronomers. Only a few places on our planet deserve such a name. And La Palma, or otherwise called La Isla Bonita, is definitely one of them. Thanks to the low level of light pollution and strict rules in the "Reserva Starlight", the landscape offers an enormous number of wonderful views of the dark sky and natural gems. At an altitude of about 2,300 meters above sea level, when extremely clean air encounters an inversion in the valleys, the universe around it stands out in all its beauty. The unique volcanic landscape of the Caldera de Taburiente, surrounded by millions of stars, galaxies and emission nebulae, or objects of the solar system - this is something you can't miss!
TENERIFE - So close to La Palma, but at the same time a different country. Teide National Park, which we will visit, will literally engulf you with its rocky volcanic formations. The huge number of unique views created by nature and the Pico del Teide volcano offers a number of compositions for day and night photography. In addition, everything is very well accessible directly by car. In good conditions, you can also look forward to the starry night sky and the Milky Way.

La Palma and Tenerife are a paradise for every astro-photographer. Therefore, during the expedition we will focus on photographing the night sky in the most photogenic places of these Spanish islands.
DAILY PHOTOS
Of course, you can also look forward to daily photography of colorful sunrises / sunsets. Thanks to that, you will bring a really wide range of interesting landscape photos from the expedition home
PHOTOGRAPHY LESSONS
The expedition will also include lessons in day and night photography, thanks to which you will get pictures that you will take a completely new dimension. You will be accompanied by two experienced lecturers.
LECTURERS WHO WILL ACCOMPANY YOU:
My name is Filip Hrebenda. I am a photographer focused on artistic photography of the landscape, especially mountain areas. My work is characterized by the sensitive use of colorful colors that are found in nature. With these colors, interesting light, and working with creative composition I try my best to transfer the atmosphere of the photographed sites to the viewer. This is exactly the ability I want to pass on to each participant in a workshop, course or expedition. I got to take photos years ago due to my relationship with the mountains and nature, which I had since I was little. Because I live in an area that is located close to
Filip Hrebenda
Slovak national parks and nice mountains, I spent a lot of time in them. Therefore, I decided that these places are worth capturing in their full beauty. After a few years, based on several successes, it has become a hobby, a profession I currently live. I am one of the members of the prestigious "Association of Professional Photographers of Slovakia" (APFSR). I also represent several brands in the field of photography (NiSi Filters, CEWE, FocusNordic, Sirui, Vallerret, Lexar and Hähnel). For years, I have been mainly organizing photo courses and expeditions, which take place both in Slovakia and in several parts of the world. What fascinates me most about this job is that I find myself in really beautiful places surrounded by wildlife. In addition, to transmit their experiences people I directly enjoy "in the field".
He was born in 1994 in Košice. From childhood, he was fascinated by the night sky. He was still interested in space secrets and observed interesting phenomena in the form of eclipses or meteor swarms. He was fascinated when he first aimed the lens of an old SLR camera at the night sky and found out how many objects the camera had captured, compared to the naked eye, which brought him into the world of astrophotography. His greatest passion is photographing the night sky combined with the beauty that nature "offers". His photos have already won the APOD image of NASOD five times and the EPOD geoscience image five times. However, they also appeared in
BBC Sky At Night magazine, The World At Night gallery, International Meteor Organization magazine or Tähdet ja avaruus magazine in Finland. They flew around the world. Among other things, he regularly publishes photographs in the scientific and technical magazine Quark. In addition to photography, he writes articles and popularizes astronomy in the form of a portable planetarium, where, in addition to running, he actively participates in the creation of programs or lectures for children and adults. In addition, he studies astronomy at the Slovak Central Observatory in Hurbanov and in his spare time he constantly strives to improve in the field of observation technology, photography and drawing new knowledge from the world of natural sciences.
